The Black Book of Forex Trading: A Proven Method to Become a Profitable Forex Trader in Four Months and Reach Your Financial Freedom by Doing it

By Paul Langer

Synopsis:

In this book, Paul Langer presents all the essential information that new and less experienced traders need to know to enter the world of forex trading and start making profits from their trades. The author covers three separate forex trading strategies that readers can adapt to their own needs for day trading, swing trading and positions trading.

Review:

This is a short book and should certainly not be looked upon as a comprehensive or step-by-step guide. Instead, the author gives an overview of forex trading and presents simple strategies that can be adapted and used by less experienced traders. The author is attempting to simplify the trading process by providing strategies that do not require a wealth of market knowledge or proficiency with dozens of technical indicators.

The book covers strategies, money management and emotional discipline, all of which are important elements for new traders to get to grips with, but it could be argued that this book keeps things too simple. Forex trading is not something that can be easily learned from a 60-page book, and while new forex traders will find Langer’s book useful, it should certainly be studied alongside other, more in-depth books and other resources.

One big drawback of this book is the unrealistic promise of the title. Becoming a profitable forex trader in four months is possible, but there is no way any book or resource can guarantee this, and while the strategies outlined in this book are useful for beginners, they are far from being any kind of magic formula that will catapult you to financial freedom.
