Investing QuickStart Guide: The Simplified Beginner’s Guide to Successfully Navigating the Stock Market, Growing Your Wealth & Creating a Secure Financial Future

By Ted D. Snow

Synopsis

Having found itself in some of the top Amazon lists, it seems clear that this has turned into somewhat of a bestseller for obvious reasons. Aimed at beginners, it sets out its stall early on as it seeks to guide its readers to learn how to tick all of the necessary boxes when investing, so as to make as few mistakes as possible. Led by a CPF-qualified Ted Snow, this book helps to provide a path to begin trading.

Review

While this will not be incredibly useful to traders of all levels, given its aim squarely at more novice traders, this does not mean it could be seen entirely as basic. There is a lot to pick up here, and having the backing of 30 years of experience when writing it means it has been delivered by someone who knows how to make the difficult ideas seem easier to grasp.

Starting off with showing what an individual needs to know before starting, he explains in accessible terms how to tell the difference between CFDs, bonds, stocks, ETFs and much more, while also giving an indication of when each one would suit a particular trader.

Snow also looks to provide an intriguing insight from many well-known traders such as Warren Buffett, who amassed a multi-billion dollar fortune primarily through dipping in to the markets at the right time.

This book will help to dispel some myths, break some of the barriers that get in the way of productive trading, and explain some of the mechanisms that can be more difficult to grasp when starting out. Given the level of experience on show in this book, it can be a great addition to those looking to embark on a serious trading career and find out how to capitalize on the best opportunities.
