Forex: A Guide to Fundamental Analysis
By Peter Dockery
This is the sort of positive book that has the power to inspire readers to get involved with fundamental analysis as soon as they’ve finished the last of its 67 pages. Compact yet accessible, and written by a real, experienced investor, there are plenty of insights in here that everybody can take away whether they’re looking to understand market sentiment, economic indicators or something else altogether.
Dockery has a positive attitude towards many aspects of the forex trading experience, and it’s likely to leave most readers feeling motivated. While the word “volatility” may strike fear into the hearts of many newbie traders, for example, Dockery explains how it can instead be transformed into a way to succeed.
But he also manages to cover a much broader ground as well. He covers the role of fundamental analysis, of course, and this is the focus of the book – but he also encourages traders to take much more than that into account, such as broader economic indicators found through news resources. He’s also on hand to help traders understand how to work out market sentiment, which is again a concept that may seem tough at first – but with this book’s assistance can actually be easily understood.
Dockery also has plenty of forex trading market experience, and he is himself an investor – so readers know that they are getting the real deal. There is a sense, however, that besides a pot of initial investment cash, this book is all you need to get started with trading. It’s worth also reading a couple of other books, including some on technical analysis, in order to get a full and wide perspective.
